Call For Posters

Abstracts should describe any original research that advocates change in, or illuminates, oncological clinical practice. Particular emphasis should be placed on the relevance of the study to cancer care in the Asia-Pacific region. Submissions should not contain preclinical research or animal studies.

Upon submission, a panel of experts and the editorial organising committee will judge abstracts for suitability. Authors of selected posters will be notified by email in February 2007. Authors are permitted to submit more than one abstract. Each abstract should contain no more than 350 words and be structured around the subheadings of: Background, Methods, Findings, and Interpretation. Acronyms should be spelt out, and all pertinent data included in the text. Each abstract should also include a brief title, and title(s), preferred degree (one only), affiliation(s), and full address(es) of the authors. The name and address of the author who will both present the poster and act as the corresponding author during the selection stage should be separately and clearly indicated, together with email and telephone details.

Finally, all authors must disclose any financial or personal relationships with people or organisations that could be perceived to bias their work. All sources of funding should also be declared. Abstract title, names and addresses of authors, contact details, conflicts of interest declarations, and descriptions of the funding source(s) do not count towards the word limit. Selected abstracts will be edited to house-style before publication in the Forum syllabus. Free-standing 1.5 m (height) x 1.0 m (width) boards and mounting materials will be provided by Forum organisers for authors of selected abstracts to display their work.
